Why is cPanel being upgraded?
As part of our consolidation into CentralNic backend platforms, we will need to move all cPanel customers to our new platform. All new cPanel orders have been created on the new platforms since July. There are lots of benefits of the new platform including much faster speed, auto SSL and automated back ups on most plans.
For more information, see here: https://www.tppwholesale.com.au/shared-cpanel-hosting/
What communications are being sent?
You will receive the following email communications to the primary and secondary email address saved on your reseller account (Reseller Admin Panel > Account Settings > Manage Account). An email notification one week before the week of the upgrade for each upgrade batch that affects you. An email notification at the beginning of the upgrade and another at the completion for each domain that will be part of the upgrade process.
If the DNS zone is external to TPP Wholesale for your customer's domains, the final email at completion will also provide the applicable DNS records that will need to be updated in the zones.
Additionally, service status alerts will be posted to status.tppwholesale.com.au 3-days before each upgrade batch commences.
What are the benefits of the upgrade?
The new cPanel platform is state of the art, not only is it lightning fast but comes with new features such as automated back ups (no most plans) and auto SSL. For more information, visit here: https://www.tppwholesale.com.au/shared-cpanel-hosting/. We are also simplifying all legacy plans down to just 4 shared cPanel plans and 2 WHM plans.
When am I being upgraded?
You will be notified one week before the week of the upgrade for each upgrade batch that affects you. It is expected that most customers will be upgraded in November and the first two weeks of December, with remaining upgraded in early 2021.
This will depend on who your DNS is with. If your DNS is with TPP Wholesale, you won't need to do anything. If your DNS is with someone else you will be provided with an email once the upgrade has been completed which will provide the applicable DNS records that will need to be updated in the zones.
Will the console change?
No, the console will remain the same
Will anything change for WHMCS?
We are not making any changes to the WHMCS module. However if you do use WHMCS to manage WHM plans you may need to change the hostname of the new server in WHMCS once the upgrade has been completed. You will receive this hostname once the upgrade has been completed.
