Fixing SPF Records to Ensure You Receive Important Account Emails

To make sure you continue receiving essential communications such as invoices, renewal reminders, and password reset emails—you need to have a valid SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record configured for the email domain connected to your reseller account.

If your SPF record is missing or incorrect, our system-generated emails may be marked as spam or rejected entirely.

This guide walks you through what’s required, how to update your DNS, and how to confirm everything is working correctly.

Why This Matters

Your SPF record tells other mail servers that we’re authorised to send emails on your behalf.
Without it, you may experience:

  • Missing invoices or renewal notices
  • Password reset emails landing in spam
  • Delayed or rejected messages
  • Reduced account security notifications

Setting it up takes only a few minutes and ensures seamless communication.

What You Need to Add

To allow our mail servers to send emails for your domain, include the following entry in your SPF record:

include:relay.tppwholesale.com.au

If you don’t have an SPF record yet

Create a new TXT record with the following value:

v=spf1 include:relay.tppwholesale.com.au ~all

If you already have an SPF record

Simply add our include statement before ~all:

v=spf1 [your existing entries] include:relay.tppwholesale.com.au ~all

How to Update Your DNS

You can update the SPF record directly through your DNS hosting provider (for example, PartnerConsole, cPanel, or any external DNS service).

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Log in to your DNS hosting platform.
  2. Go to the Zone Manager, Zone Editor, or DNS Settings section.
  3. Select Add Record and choose TXT as the record type.
  4. Enter the following details:
    • Name: Leave blank or enter your root domain
    • Type: TXT
    • TTL: 14400
    • TXT Value:

      v=spf1 include:relay.tppwholesale.com.au ~all

  5. Save your changes.
  6. Allow 24–48 hours for DNS propagation.

Special Cases

Your DNS is hosted somewhere else

No problem—you’ll still need to update the SPF record wherever your DNS is managed. Your registrar or DNS hosting provider can confirm where your DNS is located if you're unsure.

You’re using Gmail or Hotmail as your account email

These services do not allow custom SPF records because you don’t control the DNS.
To ensure reliable delivery, we strongly recommend updating your reseller account email to use your own domain name.

How to Check If Your SPF Is Correct

Once updated, you can verify your SPF record using:

  • MXToolbox SPF Lookup
  • Your DNS provider’s diagnostic tools
  • Email deliverability checkers online

A correct SPF record should show our include statement listed.

Still Need Help?

If you’ve followed all steps and your SPF record still isn’t validating, double-check:

  • You don’t have multiple SPF records (only one is allowed)
  • The include statement is before ~all
  • There are no extra spaces or formatting issues

If issues persist, feel free to contact support—we’re here to help. However, most SPF updates can be completed quickly by following the steps above.
