Depending on the type of website hosting subscription you have, the order process for an SSL certificate differs.
Order an SSL certificate on Cloud HostingSSL certificate orders for Cloud Hosting accounts are completely automated. In order to initiate this automated process, customers must call their account manager and order the SSL certificate over the phone.
Order an SSL certificate on cPanelSSL certificate orders for cPanel Hosting accounts are not automated. Follow the steps below to order an SSL certificate for your cPanel Hosting account.
- Visit http://YOUR_HOSTNAME/execute2/store/ssl-order (replace YOUR_HOSTNAME with your Whitelabel hostname)
- Type in the specific host name you want to order the SSL certificate for
- Add to cart
- Fill in the required details (make sure you have access to the Approver Email address that you select)
- Click [Continue]
- Click [Continue]
- Log in to the account that hosts your cPanel Hosting subscription
- Complete the order
- An order confirmation email will be sent from our SSL provider to the Approver Email address that you have selected
- Click on the confirmation link in the email order to approve the order
- A second email (that includes the certificate details) will be sent from our SSL provider to the Approver Email address you have selected
- Once you receive this email, forward it to our support team requesting that they organise to install the SSL certificate on your account
Order an SSL certificate for a VPS, Windows or hosting provided by a third partySSL certificate orders for websites hosted outside of our shared hosting environment are not automated. Follow the instructions below to order an SSL certificate which will be used outside of our shared hosting environment.
- Visit the QuickSSL Premium product page
- Click [Add to Cart]
- Type in the specific host name you want to order the SSL certificate for
- Fill in the required details (make sure you have access to the Approver Email address that you select)
- Click [Continue]
- Log in to the account that hosts your cPanel Hosting subscription
- Complete the order
- An order confirmation email will be sent from our SSL provider to the Approver Email address that you have selected
- Click on the confirmation link in the email in order to approve the order
- A second email (that includes the certificate details) will be sent from our SSL provider to the Approver Email address you have selected
- You will need to use the certificate details provided in the email to install the certificate onto your VPS or hosting service provided by a third party
