SSL CSR Reminder & Renewal Email Templates

Overview

This article provides the standard email templates used when notifying resellers about SSL certificate re-issuance requirements, including 30-day reminders, 14-day final reminders, and successful renewal confirmations.

30-Day CSR Reminder Email

Subject: 30-Day Reminder: SSL Re-issue Required

Dear (First Name),

This is a reminder that your SSL certificate for (domain) needs to be re-issued within the next 30 days. This re-issue is included in your 1-year purchase and is free of charge.

Why do I need to re-issue my SSL certificate?

Due to an industry-wide change mandated by the CA/Browser Forum (the governing body of the SSL industry), SSL certificates now have shorter lifespans. This improves security by ensuring that encryption keys are rotated more frequently and that domain ownership is verified more often.

What do I need to do?

Please send us an email at support@tppwholesale.com.au with the following:

  • Domain name
  • Newly generated CSR

What if I don’t provide a CSR in time?

Your certificate may lapse at the end of its 199-day validity period, as we cannot re-issue it without a valid CSR.

If a lapse occurs, you can still upload a CSR afterward and we will re-issue promptly; however, your site may show a browser warning until the new certificate is installed.

If you require further assistance, please visit our FAQ (link to be added) or contact us at support@tppwholesale.com.au.
