In order to configure your email on a Mac Computer( iMac or Macbook) after the cloud to Cpanel migration is completed please follow the below steps
- Open Mail on your Apple Mac OS
- Click Mail menu and select Preferences
- Then Select Accounts and click on the + button
- Select Add Other mail option
- In the Add a Mail account window enter your Full name, email address and Password and then click Create
- Application will try to detect the settings automatically. Disregard the result, click on Next:
- In the Incoming Mail Server screen, select POP or IMAP protocol for Account Type, and enter your account details and click Next
Mail Server: mail.yourdomainname.com
Username: full email address
Password: password for your email account
- Some additional settings maybe required:
IMAP Path Prefix: leave this field empty
Port: 993 with SSL enabled for IMAP
995 with SSL enabled for POP3
Authentication: Set to email account password
- In the Outgoing Mail Server window, fill out the details as follows:
SMTP Server: mail.yourdomainname.com
User Name: full email address
Password: password for your email account - For the additional settings, input Port Number as 465 and check the box next to Use SSL and set the Authentication to Password
