Occasionally a domain or product has to be suspended for a variety of reasons. As a result of this, we send out automated suspension emails to inform you and your clients that a service has been suspended.
Below is an explanation of each suspension email templates and the reasons they’re sent out:
- Content suspension: Legitimate complaints regarding copyright or similar, with no court order needed.
- Disk space suspension: A violation of using the disk space for non-website related storage.
- Hacked suspension: When a website is detected to have been potentially hacked, defaced, is distributing malware or getting a Google safe browsing warning.
- Password suspension: If an email address or password has been compromised.
- Phishing suspension: When a website has been hacked or found to have been created for phishing purposes.
- Resource abuse: When a domain is using too many resources on the server.
- Spam suspension: When we have detected or been notified that spam emails are being sent from the website or associated email addresses.
- Spamvertising: When we have been notified that the website has been advertised through spam emails.
How do I modify/control these emails?You can edit each of the suspension email templates by following these instructions:
- Log into your Admin Panel
- Hover over ‘Account Settings’ and then ‘Whitelabel’ and click ‘Email Templates’
- Click to edit the template you want to make changes to
Resellers can choose to have these suspension emails sent directly to themselves or directly to their end clients. They can do this by following the instructions below:
- Log into your Admin Panel
- Hover over ‘Account Settings’ and then ‘Manage Account’
- In the dark grey box, use the toggles to decide if you or the customers are sent notifications. These settings will apply to all notifications, including purchases, invoices, renewals and suspensions.
